The UCA golfing Bears finished 11th in the SoCal Intercollegiate Championships on Tuesday at The Santaluz Club.

UCA’s Kobus Erasmus was the top individual finisher for UCA with a tie for 13th. Erasmus shot 78-69-78 for a 225 total. His 69 in the second round was low round of the day.

Mauricio Galeno shot a 78-76-78_229 to finish tied for 28th. Ryan Lecuyer tied for 36th with three rounds of 77 (231 total) and Matt Montgomery shot 76-78-83_237 to tie for 59th.

Brandon Hargraves tied for 87th with rounds of 85, 83, and 84.

Cal State-Chico won the 19-team event with an 879 total, followed by Cal State-Stanislaus (883) and San Diego (892). North Alabama was fourth at 909 and Valdosta State was seventh at 913.

UCA had team scores of 306-300-316 for a 922 total.

The Bears play next at Russellville on March 21-23.
