Men's soccer picked 3rd

The University of Central Arkansas men's soccer
team was picked third in the Gulf South Conference preseason soccer poll
released Thursday.
UCA's Blake Barlow was named to the All-GSC team by the coaches. Barlow, a
senior defender from Tulsa, was a first-team All-GSC selection last fall.
The Bears received 47 total points, including one first-place vote, one
second, three thirds, two fourths and one fifth. West Florida is picked to
win the league with 60 points, followed by Christian Brothers with 50.
Following UCA are Montevallo (46), Lincoln Memorial (45), Harding (28),
Alabama-Huntsville (24), Ouachita Baptist (16) and league newcomer Delta
State (8).
UCA opens the 2004 season with an exhibition against the University of Tulsa
on Aug. 21 in Tulsa.
